Ann Bookman is a poet, anthropologist, and social justice advocate. She has a BA from Barnard College and a PhD in social anthropology from Harvard University. Her poems have been published in Dogwood: A Journal of Poetry and Prose, Larcom Review, Soul-Lit: A Journal of Spiritual Poetry, Chronogram, and others. Bookman published her chapbook, Point of Attachment, with Finishing Line Press in 2012. Blood Lines is her first full collection.
David J Orr is an artist who loves language and coffee. He has shown internationally, curates exhibitions, and has presented talks about his work at such venues as the Joseph Campbell Foundation, Reed College, Tibet House, and UCLA. His writing has appeared in Hazlitt, The New PRS Journal, The Order of the Good Death, and the Slow Lightning Anthology. Recent projects have included collaborations with John Cale, Nick Cave, Warren Ellis, and Jorie Graham.
