Our Issue 10 Dedicatee

Each issue of The Los Angeles Review is dedicated to a West Coast writer who has made a significant contribution to arts and letters. In our 10 issue, we’re pleased to honor the inimitable Ishmael Reed. The author of nine novels, six poetry collections, eight essay collections, one libretto, and six plays, Reed is not only a formidable literary talent but also a consistent and controversial presence in the American political discourse. Learn more about Ishmael Reed at his Konch Magazine and at The Academy of American Poets, or read his new editorial at The Wall Street Journal.

Submissions for Issue 10, dedicated to Ishmael Reed and featuring Contributing Editor Douglas Kearney, will open March 1.
