National Recognition for LAR Editor and Contributor

Today, Feeding Strays, the debut collection by LAR Fiction Editor Stefanie Freele, was named a finalist in the 2009 Book of the Year Awards. ForeWord Reviews has included Feeding Strays in its top 14 picks of the year. Joining Stefanie on the shortlist is LAR Issue 6 contributor Michael Czyznieyewski with his collection Elephants in Our Bedroom.

Finalists were chosen from a pool of books from 360 publishers and 1,400 entries in 60 categories. The winners will be determined by a panel of librarians and booksellers.

Congratulations, Stefanie and Michael!
