Issue 11’s Dedicatee

Each issue of The Los Angeles Review is dedicated to a West Coast writer who has made an important contribution to the American literary landscape, and we at LAR are pleased to announce that our eleventh issue will be dedicated to John Rechy.

The author of 15 books of fiction and nonfiction, including The Sexual Outlaw, City of Night, and About My Life and the Kept Woman, Rechy is among the pioneers of contemporary LGBT and Chicano literature. Winner of the PEN USA West’s Lifetime Achievement Award, Rechy is a voice of courage and honesty in West Coast literature.
