Jelena – Part II


Anna Terék was born in 1984 in Bačka Topola, former Yugoslavia. Her latest collection, Back on the Sun (2020), received wide accolades in Hungary, and in the same year of its publication, Anna received two prestigious literary awards, the János Térey Grant and the Milán Füst Award. She has published two collections of drama and three collections of poetry, one of her most famous being Dead Women (2017). Alongside her literary work, she is also a child psychologist.

Kristen Herbert is a fiction writer and translator of contemporary Hungarian literature. She is currently completing her MFA in Creative Writing in Fiction at the University of California-Riverside. She has published translations of poetry and fiction in New Delta Review, Waxwing, Newfound, Columbia Journal Online, and Asymptote Translation Tuesdays, among others. She is a founding editor of the bilingual print journal The Penny Truth.
